EVHS Football Coaches
John Ramunno
has coached football at Eagle Valley High School since 1980. John was given the head job for the 1981 season and was the head wrestling coach for 18 seasons.
Coach Ramunno grew up in Steamboat Springs and earned letters in football, wrestling and track. After high school Coach Ramunno attended Western State College in Gunnison, where he earned letters in football and wrestling.
The Devils have made the playoffs in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2001 and 2002 and have earned 5 league championships. They made it to the state final game in 1983 and the state semi-final game in 1995 and 2002. In each of those year, they tied a school record of 11 wins for a season.
Coach Ramunno believes that every athlete who comes out for the team can contribute to everyone being successful.
